This User-Managed eMail System provides a means for us to broadcast information on various topics to a large number of people, while allowing each recipient to individually decide which categories of information they are interested in receiving. The simple web-based "membership profile form" allows anyone to change their mind and easily edit their categories any time they wish. For example, sometimes Steve gets off on a rant about something that happens in the PC industry, or he discovers a really cool new bit of shareware, or perhaps he wants to let people know about the premiere of a new Science Fiction TV show. Maybe you'd like to receive that sort of "off topic" stuff from Steve, or maybe you have no interest in anything that's not strictly business. That's cool. This system lets YOU DECIDE how much, or how little, you want to hear from us (and from Steve) while allowing Steve to rant and rave and share his frequent excitement over stuff that's going on in the industry. And Steve doesn't need to worry that he's annoying people who think he's gone over the edge. Current system statistics and membership history may be displayed at any time:
We HATE, and are infuriated by, junk eMail. So you need to know that we will absolutely respect your privacy. Your personal information (your eMail address and name, etc.) will NEVER -- NOT EVER -- be divulged to any other party for any reason whatsoever.
We highly value and appreciate your interest in receiving periodic news from us, and we will NEVER abuse your trust.
